In June 2026, national leaders from across Europe travelled to Kristiansand for the M4 Europe Annual Gathering. Two days at Hånes Free Church of worship, teaching, tables covered in flipchart paper, and the particular kind of joy that comes from seeing people you only get to see once a year. We heard from Dave Patty on multiplying leaders and John Rinehart on generosity. Regional directors gave their updates. Every nation sat down together and worked out what the next season actually looks like, in numbers and in names. And yes, there was fish soup.
The gathering is where the movement takes stock of itself. Plans are made here, but so are the friendships that carry those plans through the hard middle of a church planting year. Between the sessions and the Celebration Night, what kept surfacing was the same thing that has always held this work together: none of us is doing it alone, and none of it is ours to build.
