Timo Heimlich

Project Leader

Timo is passionate about helping churches build partnerships with their local communities and help potential mother churches “to get pregnant” and to give birth to new churches.

After studying Urban Ministry in Chicago and Theology in Germany, he and his wife Manu helped plant churches in Minnesota. In 2005, they returned to Germany, where they planted and pastored a community church Kirchehoch3 in former East Berlin.

Timo has since led local and international church partnerships, including the interdenominational network Gemeinsam für Berlin. He coaches church planters and consults with churches and planting networks across Europe. Since 2022, he has also served as a catalyst trainer with the Movement System/Multipliers process, helping churches develop a culture of reproduction. Much of his current work involves church partners in Ukraine. In 2026, he became part of the M4 family.

Timo and Manu live in Berlin and have four children who are now starting families of their own.
